Special 2021-2022 COVID Updates
We have finalized our COVID-19 participation guidelines and need you to pay close attention to the following information to ensure a smooth and productive start to the season.
Class Size
To accommodate everyone safely, We’ve restricted the overall enrollment to approximately 80 students. We will split students into two groups (A and B) of approximately 40 students each .Each group will be assigned an alternating Saturday. For example group A will attend on even numbered Saturdays and group B on odd numbered Saturdays.We will try to make sure siblings are assigned to the same group.Only 10 parents will be allowed to remain on site for the during class. Be prepared to leave the premises and return at the end of class to pick up your students.Please fill out the survey at this link.
The survey deadline is Monday, September 13, 2020. This survey will help us make sure each group is balanced by discipline (foil, epee, sabre) and by age.We will try to make sure that siblings are assigned to the same group.You will be assigned to you group before the first day of class.
PPE and COVID Safety
All persons over the age of 12 must provide proof of vaccination according to NYC COVID guidelines before being allowed to stay on premise. See the link below for specifics from the mayor's office. See the guidlines here Everyone will be required to wear protective masks that cover their mouths and noses, in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, while on premises.We will perform a temperature check on all parents, students and staff upon entry into the facility.
Fencing Equipment Usage
As an extra precaution, we are requiring all students to purchase their own fencing masks and gloves.We have arranged for a really steep discount with Tim Morehouse fencing gear (links below) for all PWF students.
